Pray for Your Children!

“A woman giving birth to a child has pain because her time has come; but when her baby is born she forgets the anguish because of her joy that a child is born into the world” ~John 16:21

I will never be a perfect mother but I will always be a praying mother. I will always stand in the gap for my four children. “Children are a gift from the Lord”, Proverbs 22:6, “Train up a child in the way he should go”, The bible is our best guide to train our children. My children are a reward and it is a true privilege to have all four, but I can not do it by myself.  It requires nurturing and guidance to grow into healthy, thriving human beings in such a cold generation.  Prayer is my weapon. I am a prayer warrior. My biggest strength is prayer. Do not tell me that nothing has work; unless you pray and fast. The answer will always be prayer. So go pray for your children and you will receive your answer! Pray, Pray, Pray, Pray, Pray…..

If you're a parent you probably do a lot for your kids.  Do you pray? While I wish my own mom was a role model of prayer, I make sure that my children have a role model so that they can plant the seed in their children and children of their children.  As the Bible says: “Am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the father on the children, on the third and fourth generation”. A praying mother is not just birthing children, she is breaking curses, birthing legacies, prophets and deliverers.

Raising children is not easy. The obstacles we are up against are more challenging than ever before. But today in Butterfly by Grace “Mommy and Daughter’s blog” I encourage all women to discover the profound power of a mother’s prayer, which can change your current story into a testimony. A mother’s prayer can transcend physical limitations to guide, protect, and nurture your children and grandchildren.  There is something about a mother that prays. Where there is a praying mother there is victory. Mother’s protect, comfort, nurse, guide, Love, Teach, Hug, Kiss, provide, encourage, discipline, and influence their children, among other things. A mothers prayer transcends physical barriers and reaches where she cannot. I can testify that most of my prayers for my children have been answered.  There is something special, unique, and humble in a mothers prayers. There is a breakthrough and generational curses being broken; where there is a mother standing in the gap. Jesus has given us all power over the enemy. “Truly I tell you whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loose in heaven”. Mathew 18:18.

Lets Pray!

Father God we pray in the name of Jesus for our struggling sons and daughters, for every child and grandchild reading this blog; we pray for their hurting, confusion and wrestling with tough decisions.  Father God; many of these kids have walked away from you, from their faith. Lord, give parents wisdom as they seek to be an encouragement to them. May they call on you for wisdom and help in their time of need. May their children be young men of noble character, uncompromising in their faith. We pray that they do not feel inferior but will grow in confidence knowing that their identity is found in Jesus Christ. May they surround themselves with people of faith. May these children know their calling. Give them prophetic dreams. Put a burning fire within them. Hand pick their friends, God. We pray that they learn the importance of having a prayer life. Lord, over all I pray for all moms struggling. We agree with Jesus and take over all authority over our children. Put your spirit on all moms praying for their children. I declare in the name of Jesus that all praying warriors are lifted high, that we humble ourselves, we repent,  we confess; there is power in the name of Jesus. Jesus is not dead! Satan, I bind you right now in the name of Jesus. You have no authority over our children. Because we are submitted to God, we can resist you and you have to flee. In the name of Jesus. Amen
