Be Still!

“Be still and know (recognize, understand) that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations! I will be exalted in the earth.” Psalm 46:10

When the bible tell you be still: It means stop everything your doing, stop worrying, stop fighting,  stop resisting and yielding to God. Start listening to God. There is something about stillness. I truly believe that this verse is calling us to Be Still before the Lord. We need to direct all of our attention, focus to the Lord.  Spending time to know the Lord, spending time in the presence of Jesus Christ you begin to stay still and rest in his promise.

In Butterfly by Grace “Mommy and Daughter blog” we want to encourage people to spend time in the presence of God. It is only in those one to one encounters can one get a personal revelación of who God truly is. In those moments, we can be empowered and encouraged. The courage to face today's world and stand up for Christ. The courage to stand up to the devil and declare that Jesus Christ is Lord.

The bible presents us the story of two gardens. The garden of Eden and the garden of Gethsemane. We know Adam and Eve disobeyed God. But, in Gethsemane Jesus said: “Nevertheless not as I will, but your will be done”. In Gethsemane we learn the consequences that we can face, if we are disobedient. In the garden Adam and Eve listened to the wrong voices. On the contrary Jesus took a stand and obeyed the voice of God the father. Adam, where are you? Génesis 3:9

In Eden Adam hid from God, In Gethsemane Jesus prayed for his father's will. Today, I'm trying to demonstrate how the devil aims to make sure that you disobey God. Don't feel for what the enemy tells you. All he knows is to lie since the beginning and distract you with negatively.

Readers, separate from others, separate from all distractions and seek God for help. Seek and pray and you will find him, he will rescue you from all enemies attack. When we are still before God we need to realize his majesty and power. God should be first.  Be like God separate from others to pray.  So today, our blog message is to stand strong in the Lord.

Life is unpredictable, you never know what will get thrown your way. You never know what tomorrow may bring. I have met people whose lives changed in an instant because of one bad decision.  Have you ever experienced peace and safety and in the next moment all hell breaks loose? So what do you do? Who do you run to? When life puts you through the fire,  run to Jesus. Get closer to Jesus. Turn to God and not to the world.  “ Be Still”.

“The Lord is good, he is a stronghold in times of trouble and he knows who trusts in him”.  A day of trouble will come to all of us. The bible tells us there is a refuge, a place to hide when the day of trouble comes and that place is in God.

‭‭Revelation‬ ‭12:11‬ ‭AMP‬‬

And they overcame and conquered him because of the blood of the Lamb and because of the word of their testimony, for they did not love their life and renounce their faith even when faced with death.

Let's pray,

Lord Jesus you are my great defender, you are my mighty protector help us, rescue us Jesus. Give us the strength to stand firm in prayer and wait while I stay still. Your word tells me that I can overcome the devil by the blood of the Lamp and the word of my testimony. Today we plead the blood of Jesus Christ over my family and over my life. Lord, help us through the moment of storms.  You are king and you are victorious. I will stay still, because you Lord have overcome. I pray that you empower us today when the spirit of fear is weak and afraid. We are blessed and we rejoice, we submit and surrender to you Almighty God. We humble ourselves to you Lord. I pray that you help us set aside self righteous pride, help us to set aside that makes us believe that we are strong on our own. We cast all of our worries and surrender it all to you Lord.  Today, we choose to be still. Thank you for listening to our prayer. In the name of Jesus, Amen.
